Enjoy the luxury of a small class size and detailed corrections from our team. All of our instructors are Classically trained and have completed a rigorous 500-1000Hr program on anatomy and biomechanics. Classes rotate between apparatus.

GETTING STARTED

If you are new to Pilates, we highly recommend starting with our intro 3-pack of privates or our foundation class which dives into the fundamentals. This way we can assess your movement abilities, injuries or rehabilitation needs. It also gives you the opportunity to meet us, check out our studio and understand the best path forward to ensure your success.

 

Foundation

Mat / Tower / Reformer. Beginner

For those just starting out or for anyone wanting to dive deeper into the classical Pilates fundamentals. Did you know that there are many different Pilates branches today? We teach the classical Pilates method, in its most authentic form, as created by Joseph Pilates.

Learn the foundation of the Pilates principles, Breath, Flow, Precision, Concentration, Control and Centering. Experience a slower, joint friendly workout. Not to worry, slow does not mean easy- the class will still challenge you! Here you will have more time to focus on form, learn the exercises, how to find the best modifications for your body, how to adjust the apparatus and more.

Align 1

Take your body through the Classical fundamental - level 1 series of exercises. You’ll learn about your posture and alignment and understand the Pilates Principles: Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath, and Flow. Each move builds from the one before—starting off with foundational exercises to warm up your body and progressing towards more complex movements.

Suitable for newbies, beginners. Overall movement with options for further challenges. Mix of tower and reformer apparatus. Learn to understand your shoulder girdle placement, stability and neutral scapula positioning

Max 4 Participants.

45 Minutes. Beginner

Align 2

For those with apparatus experience. Continue to build on the Pilates foundations along with more stability, complexity, faster tempo and balance challenges.  Class is moderately advanced with a steady flow and will introduce you to transitions to give you a full body workout. Will leave you feeling strong and stable with a good burn.

Adjust your own springs and props, and get in and out of the foot straps yourself.

Max 4 Participants.

45 Minutes. Intermediate

Align 3

This is an ADVANCED class, that will challenge your mind, coordination and balance. Lift the heart rate, and enjoy practising more advanced Pilates repertoire. This class is for those who are able to self correct and understand the Pilates principles and reformer apparatus. Great if you love to plank and for those who feel comfortable changing their own springs, moving through transitions, balanced standing and being upside down.

Max 4 Participants.

SLOW Burn + Weights

Weights + Mat/Tower/Reformer. All levels

A slow motion, Pilates + weights class to build bone density and muscle strength You’ll feel the burn in this slow-motion, controlled strength class ranging from 1-20lb weights and balls. A resistance style workout using weights and the Pilates apparatus, tower and reformer rotating each week. Challenge the burn in alignment, stability and balance in a controlled and safe way to get stronger faster. Work through variety of standing lunges, squats, weighted shoulder stability and strength training. Springs and weights offer the ability to adjust tension from strong, medium to low resistance.

45 Minutes. All levels.

What should I bring to class?

Comfortable athletic clothing, grip socks for safety and a water bottle to hydrate. Please avoid wearing anything with buttons and zippers to avoid damaging the equipment.

Are there different levels of classes?

Yes, we have 3 different class levels depending on your Pilates experience.

Grip Sock Policy

Grip Socks are required at all Align Sessions and are available for purchase in studio.

Late Arrival Policy

If you are a new client, we require that you arrive at least five minutes before the start of class so we can review apparatus safety.

Class Cancellation Policy

We require 12 hours notice to cancel. If cancelled with less than 12-hours notice, a credit will be taken off of your package. Email the studio info@alignpilatesmvmt.com to late cancel.
